What a day! Theoretical session, sampling session on the field and lab work, all in a wonderful “jornada de trabalho” that brought together teachers, biologists, students, Lousada municipality staff and even a musician!

The activity aimed at a number of goals:

• To create awareness on the diversity and importance of invertebrates (they work even in January!);
• improve proximity and public perception of invertebrates – from bugs to animals;
• reduce fear and disgust from bugs;
• and raise awareness to the key role of invertebrates and ecosystem services regarding the soil.
