Videos from BGE’s attendance to the Biodiversity Genomics Conference 2024

The application of genomic science to biodiversity research is driving fundamental advances in conservation science and policy. The pan-European consortium of Biodiversity Genomics Europe (BGE) is leading the way by accelerating the use of genomics to enhance our understanding and monitoring of biodiversity to guide intervention to address its decline.
BGE came back to the Biodiversity Genomics Conference for a full triple session, including an general view of the project and specific sessions devoted to the two big communities that conform the consortium: iBOL Europe and ERGA. You can watch the recordings of all sessions below. Enjoy!

As an introduction, the first talk pays attention to the major achievements accomplished since the start of the BGE project and the way the consortium plans to move forward in the near future. The talk also includes introductions to both the barcoding and full genome streams of BGE.

Now, for those in the full genome business, the ERGA session. The second talk showcases some of the activities and major achievements accomplished by ERGA since the start of the BGE project and the way the consortium plans to move forward in the near future. Among other topics, the session addresses sampling for reference genome sequencing, the ERGA Genome Tracking Console, and more.

The iBOL Europe talk showcases some of the activities and major achievements accomplished by iBOL since the start of the BGE project and the way the consortium plans to move forward in the near future: Barcode reference library curation, nanopore sequencing, skimming and more.
