Building shared capacity at the European level

Samples, Barcodes and Genomes

Establish and implement large-scale biodiversity genomic data generation pipelines for Europe is one of BGE’s main goals, to accelerate the production and accessibility of genomic data for biodiversity characterisation, conservation and biomonitoring.

BGE’s goal of scaling the production of barcode reference libraries and reference genomes in Europe will enable targeted conservation efforts and a coherent deployment of genomic tools for biomonitoring and biodiversity conservation. The table below shows BGE’s work on this front until now.
